YOUNG REPORTER – In this article, I am going to tell you the story of a child I met at the General Hospital of Bunia. Bahati, 10, is one of thousands of children who fled the intercommunal violence in the Ituri Province.
YOUNG REPORTER – The situation of children in Ituri these last months has been alarming in light of interethnic tensions that affect the Province. In this article, I will examine some questions related to the evolution of the situation of children.
YOUNG REPORTER – My name is Sarah, I am 17 years old and I coordinate the Young Reporters in my Province, Haut-Uélé. On 20 November, during events celebrating Universal Children’s Day, we had the opportunity to give a speech to the authorities and one month later we have now received a positive response.

YOUNG REPORTER – We that all these deaths of children due to the diseases of unsanitary dirty hands are just too many deaths! These deaths occur because the different decision-makers on water, hygiene and sanitation issues do not follow through on nor fulfill their commitments to children.
CHILD REPORTER – The celebration of the 20th November was the first in the city of Isiro and in the Haut-Uélé province and…. the mobilization was complete!
During the whole month of August, children were the main participants in a programme to inform families about the importance of registering the births of their children, conducted by the Goverment in collaboration with UNICEF.
